After she moves she is communicating like crazy! She is taking chances and taking risks to meet new friends. So far she has met one friend and her brother might have a crush on one of Mallory's new enemies.

Moving stinks, especially when Mallory's big brother Max torments her at every turn, and when she has to leave Mary Ann, her best friend in the whole world. But Mallory does end up making a new buddy - Joey - breaking the biggest rule she had for herself: do not make friends with a boy. What I liked most about this book was how spunky and happy Mallory was. Even though she was angry about moving, she figured out a way to keep Mallory is just about to move to a new town, away from her best friend.

It is the first story out of a large series. It tells the story of a girl who is in 3rd grade. She is moving up inot the nicest teachers classroom.

Excellent start to a book so far series. Mallory is 8 and has just moved three hours away from her best friend Mary Ann. They promise each other that they would never hang out with a BOY next door but Mallory becomes good friends with her new next door neighbor Joey. Very cute book. Jun 16, Amanda rated it liked it. This is a great kick off to the Mallory McDonald series.
